On www.carameldealers.com click “Submit a Sale”, select whether it’s a cash or finance sale, and either type in your customer’s credit application or upload a signed copy. Manually entering a customer’s credit application typically yields a faster response.
Within roughly 20 minutes, we’ll send you a decision via email. If the application is approved or it’s a cash sale, you’ll be prompted to continue the transaction in your Caramel dashboard.
In your Caramel dashboard, click continue to view all details and structure your sale. Here you can add warranty and GAP products from our top providers. Warranty handouts for each warranty product are available on this screen.
Review the approved structure with your customer. Additionally, request any required stipulations.
Once your buyer is ready to proceed, upload a picture of the vehicle’s title, vin plate, and current odometer reading. If there are lender stipulations or a trade-in, there will be additional upload fields.
Once you’ve uploaded all documents, submit the sale for review. If any additional documents are needed, we’ll reach out to you.
You’ll receive an email to continue the transaction. If you’re completing the transaction on-premise with your customer, select pickup. If your buyer is completing the transaction off-premise, our system will give you real-time delivery quotes that you can present to the buyer. Next, you’ll digitally sign your sale documents. The document set includes necessary vehicle history disclosures for your buyer, a customer referral form, and all your sale documents. When completing a sale through Caramel, your sale documents are between Caramel and your dealership.
Whether your buyer is on-premise or off-premise, they can seamlessly complete their purchase digitally. The buyer will receive an email with a button to continue. When they click continue, they’ll see a price breakdown that itemizes the sales price, taxes, fees, etc. and shows their finance terms (if applicable).
We have several payment methods. Buyer’s can select between a real-time bank transfer, wire transfer, or one of our other timely payment methods (Zelle, Cashier’s Check, and more).
Identity verification is completed via a driver’s license upload, database check, and biometric selfie scan that typically take just a few minutes to complete on their phone.
The document set includes all required retail contracts and any forms you signed that require buyer review and signature. All retail paperwork is between Caramel and the buyer. Once completed, we may send the buyer an additional set of documents via email that can also be signed instantly online.
Once all sale documents are signed and the down payment has been made, we’ll quickly work to finalize the sale. If there is financing, we’ll submit everything to the lender for verification.
Once the sale is finalized, we’ll send you a packet via email that includes a temporary plate for the vehicle, a FedEx label to send us the title, and any other required items.
When we receive your title package in the mail, we will verify the contents same-day. If verified, we will send a wire payment for the vehicle payment to your bank account the following business day.
Within 3-8 weeks, depending on the buyer’s state and the status of the title, we’ll complete the buyer’s registration or transfer and provide you with a temporary plate for your buyer. Please advise your buyer to reach out to us at dmv@drivecaramel.com for any questions or if the plate is soon to expire and they are in need of a replacement.
Caramel pays all dealer bonuses for each month the following month. We will send you an itemized receipt of all bonuses earned.
